Lyme disease is epidemic in Pennsylvania and much of the Northeast. Not surprising, my most frequent referral is Lyme disease. Lyme is known as “The Great Imitator” as it can imitate many other illnesses, leading to many misdiagnoses. Worse yet, is the fact that chronic Lyme is rarely detected in the more common blood tests and false negatives are far too common.
